The Very First Post...

Greetings to all – and thanks for your interest in IP News & Transactions!

A quick word (or two) about the goal of this blog – the focus here is to provide useful information, as well as context, regarding the growing and emerging field of intellectual property development and licensing.  There are indeed many great resources on the web regarding IP issues, but it seems that each resource most often focuses narrowly on a particular area of intellectual property – some focus solely on legal issues, some on transactions, and some on IP development and management – but none of these resources INTEGRATES all of these areas into useful information for the IP professional – or for those who desire to learn more about intellectual property.  The goal of this blog, then is to bring different sources of information together, put these sources into context, and provide the reader with useful information about intellectual property.  Content here will be varied, with information designed for both newcomers to the field of intellectual property, as well as experienced IP professionals.
